Excerpt from Ms. Price's letter

Dear Naomi, Mark and Ellie,

I wanted to take a moment to tell you again how deeply sorry I am that you have lost Omer. Because of his death, the missing will be very, very great for your family for a long time, and all of us who deeply respected and loved Omer will be sharing in that loss.

I am glad that Omer came into my life, and I want you to know how much I adored having him as my student and watching him grow. His wonderful wit and marvelous intellect brightened my day in school. Having Ellie follow along after him was a delight as well.

Omer's memorial service was such a wonderful tribute to him. Your love for him as a family was so evident. I appreciated so much your messages that you delivered. Ellie's reading of Ginger's letter to Omer moved me beyond words. I am fortunate to have had a glimpse into the mind's eye of my child as she expressed what so often goes unsaid. Wonderful memories - points of light - remain for me of Omer.
